Maggie Gleeson Briscoe Penangke was born in 1953.  Her community is Yuelamu (Mt Allen) Northern Territory.  Her inspiration is connecting people to country and the richness of first nations culture, the wonder and beauty of our natural world and the sheer joy she receives when people find healing value in her works.
